The Boston Red Sox ushered Mookie Betts into Major League Baseball. From the time he spent in the Minor Leagues, there was a buzz about this player. When he got the chance to play with the

Mookie became the first player in baseball history to win the Most Valuable Player Award, a Silver Slugger, a Gold Glove, the batting title, and a World Series ring in the same season
(2018 as a Boston Red Sox Player). This All Star Player is no stranger to breaking records. Mookie Betts hit three home runs in a game on May 31, 2016, then two additional
home runs in his next consecutive game, on June 1, 2016. This feat made him one of only three Boston Red Sox players to hit five home runs in two consecutive games, matching the mark set by Carl Yastrzemski in 1976, and Nomar Garciaparra in 2002.
Mookie Betts hit a second 3-homer game on August 14, 2016, and he tied the American League record for most 3-home run game in a season.
Mookie Betts enjoyed two more 3-home run games in 2018, and he became the first American League player to tie the record for most 3-home run games in a season twice.
To date, Mookie Betts has five career 3-home run games, tying the American League record held by Joe Carter, Carlos Delgado, and Alex Rodriguez.
On September 26, 2016, Betts stole his 30th base of the season, becoming just the second player in Red Sox history to join the 30–30 club (the first was Jacoby Ellsbury in 2011). In Major League Baseball (MLB), the 30–30
club is the group of batters who have achieved 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases in a single season. This group of stellar athletes is
comprised of only 41 members including the likes of Ken Williams, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Bobby Bonds, Barry Bonds, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Christian Yelich.
Betts finished the 2018 season leading the major leagues with a .346 batting average, a .640 slugging percentage, and 129 runs scored. For the season, he had the highest batting average on balls in play (.373) of all major league players.
Mookie Betts joins an elite club, earning $362 Million in a contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. His lucrative contract also included a $65 million signing bonus, making it the highest paid contract in Dodgers history, and the third-highest contract in the history of North American sports.
2017. He also achieved this feat, scoring a perfect game during the World Series of Bowling on November 12, 2017. No stranger to Bowling Competition, even as a pro baseball star, Mookie Betts won the 2019 CP3 PBA Celebrity Invitational, competing with professional bowler Tommy Jones.
Betts is an avid bowler and competed in the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) World Series of Bowling in Reno, Nevada in 2015 and 2017.
He has officially bowled three 300 score (perfect) games in 2013, 2016, and
Betts became a father to his daughter Kynlee on November of 2018. He is also a distant cousin of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. A true family man, he credits his mother for his love of baseball. Diana Benedict, mother of All-Star Mookie Betts, has been involved in Betts' career from his first experiences with America’s Favorite Pastime. A three sport athlete herself, she stepped up to the plate to serve as his first Little League Coach, when other coaches told Betts he was too small to play.
Betts Star continues to rise in Los Angeles. He is on pace to make a significant impact by hitting homeruns for the Dodgers. Already gaining the distinction of becoming the first Dodger and 19th player in MLB history to have a multi-homer, multi-steal game.
Off the field, Mookie Betts cares about communities and even took the time to give back in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. The All Star was on hand to participant in a recent mask giveaway. This was an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. With actions like these, he will surely be a star both on and off the field for years to come!
